Time Written on Skin

The body, as a vessel of time, bears surface traces—scars, wrinkles, stretch marks—that record the irreversible changes throughout life’s stages. This project originated from my long-term observation of my own bodily scars, tracing a personal evolution from resistance to understanding and acceptance. Over time, I expanded my focus to include individuals of different genders, seeking to reveal how the body acts as a repository of memory, carrying unique imprints of personal history.
Using natural light and intimate close-ups, the series highlights the subtle textures of the skin and the play of light and shadow. Avoiding aesthetic idealization, it adopts a straightforward and restrained visual language to document those often unspoken yet deeply felt traces, emphasizing the body’s role as a testament to lived time.
身体作为时间的载体，其表面纹理——如疤痕、皱纹、妊娠纹——记录了生命阶段中不可逆的变化。这个拍摄项目源于我对自身身体疤痕的长期观察，从最初的抗拒到逐渐的理解与接纳。过程中，我将视线延伸至更多个体的身体，不限性别，试图呈现身体如何作为记忆的容器，承载各自独特的时间痕迹。
项目采用自然光和局部特写，聚焦于皮肤纹理的细微形态与光影变化。不追求美学修饰，而是以一种平实、节制的视角，记录那些难以被轻易言说却真实存在的痕迹，还原身体作为时间容器的本质。
